iPhone ”nano” to be in stores for Christmas
August 4, 2008 by The Editor
A new miniature version of Apple’’s iPhone is expected to be in stores for Christmas, following the enormous success of its predecessors.
Despite industry rumours that Apple is considering dropping O2 as its British partner, the mobile phone and cheap broadband provider is set to distribute the smaller, more compact iPhone when it hits the shops.
An unnamed source told Simon Fluendy at the Daily Mail: "This will be a big one. The iPhone 3G has been the fastest-selling phone ever in the UK, but it is too expensive to be a realistic proposition in the pay-as-you-go market."
The new iPhone will be available to pay-as-you-go customers for up to £150, and as a smaller, more affordable version of the iPhone 3G it is expected to be a top gift idea for Christmas.
Although no images have yet been made available of the new device, suggestions are that Apple may be playing around with some innovative designs, perhaps involving a wheel on the back where numbers would be dialled from.
Innovative design and a more consumer-friendly price could mean that Apple exceed the success of the original iPhone. Consumers should shop around for the best new deals on electrical goods.

Take That DVD breaks record
March 6, 2008 by The Editor
Take That’s live DVD release Beautiful World has become the fastest-ever selling music DVD in the UK, their record company has confirmed.
Polydor said that the DVD - recorded during the group’s sell-out European come-back tour - entered the UK charts in the top spot after selling more than 64,000 copies in just one week.
By comparison, Celine Dion’s Live in Las Vegas DVD - which was in second place - sold just 1,600 copies. The Take That release even outsold the number one slot on the albums chart, Amy Winehouse’s Back To Black.
Polydor said that marks the first time a music DVD has ever outsold the number one album.
Take That reformed in 2005 after a decade apart and successfully topped both the UK singles and album charts in 2006, before earning a Best Single at the Brit Awards last year.
The current line-up encompasses four of original band members - Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, Jason Orange and Howard Donald - but excludes solo-artist Robbie Williams.

Sony set to unveil new colour-changing MP3 player
February 25, 2008 by The Editor
Sony is to launch an updated version of its popular E-Series Walkman MP3 players, it has been announced.
The new models will offer customers between one and four GB of storage, an FM radio and colour LCD screens.
However, it is their interchangeable cases which are expected to prove a hit with UK consumers, giving owners the opportunity to switch between a number of bold and contemporary designs.
The company has also confirmed that the new generation of walkman will be capable of playing MP3, WMA and WAV and will boast a battery life of around 30 hours, making it extremely favourable in comparison to other models currently on a market.
Though an exact release date has yet to be announced, it is expected that the new gadgets will be available to consumers before the end of June.
