Champagne – Is Tesco really the cheapest?

Tesco has a number of deals on champagne, and with their reputation for cost cutting, are they the cheapest?
We took three of their offers and compared them against the competition
- Lanson Black Label Non Vintage - 22% off in Tesco yet Majestic Wine was still cheaper by more than £1 per bottle
- Veuve Clicquot Brut NV - Yes Tesco was the cheapest at £30.75 / bottle (John Lewis were next cheapest)
- Heidsieck Monopole Blue Top - yes Tesco was the cheapest, by far!
