Mont Gras Carmenère Reserva 2008 Colchagua Valley, Chile

An excellent red made from one of Chile’s more unusual grape varieties. An interesting, spice and black pepper nose precedes a deliciously full, soft, fruity palate, benefiting from the added depth and complexity of nine months in French oak barrels. Brilliant value.

Casillero del Diablo Malbec 2008 Rapel Valley, Chile

This rich and round Chilean red wine is made from Malbec, a grape variety with its origins in France but nowadays more associated with beefy Argentinean reds. This wine oozes ripe cherry and blackberry fruits with notes of cake spice and vanilla, finishing smooth and velvety. An excellent partner to grilled meats or hearty stews.

Cousino Macul Antiguas Reservas Cabernet Sauvignon 2007 Maipo Valley, Chile

This is an excellent terroir-driven red made from very old vine Cabernet Sauvignon from the Alto Maipo, which gives the wine intensity and power. It has a full and rich palate of blackcurrant and black cherry flavours followed by notes of herbs and mocha with a smoky finish. Enjoy with grilled meats.
